A part of our weekly session on the PE apparatus has been exploring different balances on the gym mats. Here’s a variety of balances from today – some quite experimental!
We added tuck jump vaults and paired balances to this week’s lesson.
We’re in the middle of a programme of fairly intense fitness circuit training in P.E. The children are recording the number of repetitions that they achieve at each station on the circuit and we might try to put their results into a spreadsheet at the end of the unit and see whether and how much their fitness has increased.
Important reminder: The children are working up a sweat and it is essential that they have a full Rosendale PE kit with them every Wednesday and Friday. Thank you.
In PE today we started the Boot Camp fitness programme. Today’s lesson was mostly traditional running games – Stuck in the Mud, Tails and Chain Tag – and the class had a lot of fun.
We’ve been learning handball in P.E. this half term. It’s a fast-moving, team sport, combining lots of skills, and I think all of the children improved tremendously. We finished this week with a tournament and the winners were…. the red team!
